Below the waterline, the 58’ Krogen is constructed of solid fiberglass with Kevlar-reinforced stem and stern bottom areas and vinylester resins used in first two laminates. Above the waterline, a combination of Kyntex, mat, and Airex are used for added resilience as well as improved sound and thermal installation.

The superstructure is designed of Kyntex combined with end-grained balsa and/or Divinycell coring and surface mats (to reduce print-through). It is finished with Cook gel coat. The entire yacht was painted with Awigrip at American Custom Boat Works in October of 2015. The boat and fore decks are finished with non-skid. Teak covers the aft and side decks.

Freeman weather-tight doors and GEBO windows have been used throughout the vessel.
